Jobstelo is operated from Cardiff, United Kingdom. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law

• Resell or redistribute the Services without authorisation
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights

• CV Optimiser: analysis and improvement suggestions tailored to specific job descriptions
• Cover Letter Generator: AI-generated personalised cover letters
• Personal Statement Writer: assistance with personal statements
• Interview Simulator: practice interviews via text and voice with AI feedback

Career Hub (Grow Your Career)

• Activity Tracker: log daily career activities, wins, and reflections
• Work Goals: set and track career goals with AI-generated action steps, reminders, and progress monitoring
• Career Growth Profile: define your current role, target role, skills, and career trajectory
• Progress Reports: generate and share branded PDF reports from your activities and goals

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.

AI-Generated Content

Our Services use artificial intelligence to generate, analyse, and summarise content. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use or sharing
• AI suggestions are recommendations only and do not guarantee career or interview outcomes
• Progress report summaries are generated based solely on data you have recorded and should be reviewed before sharing
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content
• You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for important career decisions

Subscription and Payments

Free Plan

The free plan includes limited access to our Services with monthly usage limits. Free accounts may be subject to feature restrictions.

Pro Subscription

Pro subscriptions provide expanded access to all features. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fees
• Automatic renewal at the end of each billing period
• Provide valid and current payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
• No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods
• Your account will revert to the free plan

Refunds

Since we offer a 7-day free trial, refunds are generally not provided after your subscription begins. If you have issues with your subscription, please contact us and we'll review on a case-by-case basis. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Services, including all content, features, and functionality (text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and design), are owned by Jobstelo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create within the Services, including CVs, activity logs, goals, career profiles, and progress reports. By using the Services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Services to you.

Generated Content

You own all rights to content generated by our Services based on your inputs (cover letters, personal statements, progress summaries, etc.). You are free to use, modify, and distribute this content as you wish, subject to your responsibility to review it for accuracy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
• Warranties that the Services will meet your specific requirements

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right you have as a consumer that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOBSTELO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jobstelo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you upload or submit to the Services

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason including breach of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, or non-payment of fees. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. You may also delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting the updated Terms on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
